Bardo National Museum, Tunis

Oil measure, marked by a manganese oxyde seal to show that the text had been applied at the same time as the ornament, i.e. before the second kiln. This permits the conclusion that these measures were made upon official order.
In the 19th century the qulla was a standard measure (10,08 l) for olive oil. A qulla contains 8 sâ`a.

The seal reads: official stamp affixed and under the second line the number 84 is inscribed in Indian characters.
